Why drivers switch trackers

Most trackers let you down in one of three ways.

In October 2026 we read 4,213 recent Google Play reviews of seven popular mileage trackers. The same complaints kept coming back.

Miles go missing

The app says it is tracking. At the end of the week the miles are not there, and nobody told you.

MileSure: a tracking health check turns red the moment a phone setting blocks recording, with a one tap fix.

The battery dies first

Your phone gives up before your shift does, so the tracker gets uninstalled.

MileSure: GPS runs only while the car is moving. Between drives it listens to the motion sensor instead.

The price keeps climbing

Every renewal costs more than the last one, with no new reason to pay it.

MileSure: your price is locked for as long as you stay subscribed, or pay once with the lifetime plan.

Features

Built so no drive slips through.

Records on its own

Turn on your shift once. Every drive after that is detected and logged in the background with the screen off, including the miles between orders.

Your trips stay yours

No account and no sign up. Trips live on your phone, and an encrypted Android backup carries them to your next one.

Easy on your battery

GPS wakes up when the car starts moving and sleeps when you park. The rest of the day it stays off.

How it works

Set it up once. Then just drive.

  1. 1

    Allow location all the time

MileSure walks you through each permission and confirms it is set, so recording works with your phone locked.

  2. 2

Turn on your shift and drive

Every drive is recorded and priced at the IRS rate for that day. Mark a personal trip with one tap.

  3. 3

    Export your year

Download a PDF or CSV report for Schedule C and send it to your tax preparer.

Recording never stops.

Even if your subscription ends, MileSure keeps recording your drives, so your mileage record never has a gap.

FAQ

Questions drivers ask.

Something else on your mind? Write to support@milesure.app and you will get an answer from the person who builds MileSure.

Do miles between orders count as business miles?

Miles you drive between orders while you are working are generally business miles. With your shift on, MileSure records them like any other drive, so they never fall into the gap between apps.

I drive for more than one app. Does MileSure still work?

Yes. MileSure tracks your car, not a delivery app, so one shift covers DoorDash, Uber, Instacart and Spark at the same time.

Is the report enough for Schedule C line 47b?

Line 47b asks whether you have written evidence for your vehicle deduction. The MileSure report lists the date, purpose and miles of every business trip as a PDF or CSV. MileSure is not tax advice, so check your own situation with your tax preparer.

Does it record with the screen off?

Yes. With location set to Allow all the time, MileSure records in the background while your phone is locked. Tracking health tells you when a phone setting is blocking it.

Will it drain my battery?

GPS only runs while the car is moving. Between drives MileSure relies on the phone's motion sensor, which uses very little power.

Which IRS rate does MileSure use?

Each trip uses the IRS standard mileage rate for the day it happened. For 2026 that is 72.5 cents per mile from January 1 to June 30 and 76 cents per mile from July 1. Source: IRS standard mileage rates.

Do I need to create an account?

No. There is no sign up. Your trips are stored on your phone, and an encrypted Android backup can bring them back on a new phone.

What happens if my subscription ends?

MileSure keeps recording your drives even if your subscription ends, so your mileage record never has a gap.

Can I add a trip by hand?

Yes. Add a missed trip with its date, distance and whether it was business or personal.

Is there an iPhone version?

Not yet. MileSure is Android only for now.
